In addition to Audlem having its own resident (human) physiotherapist, Philippa Butler, 2015 welcomes Audlem's own veterinary physiotherapist, Ceri Parsons (BSc; Ph.D; PgDip Vet Phys).

Ceri is also registered as a member of the National association of veterinary physiotherapists (NAVP). (They are recognised by insurance companies.)

Physiotherapy uses scientific principles to help reduce pain and restore normal function following injury, illness or post surgery (such as in cases of Cruciate ligament injuries).

Physiotherapy benefits a wide spectrum of patients as a form of preventative medicine for the growing numbers of overweight pets through to supporting the quality of life in patients who are suffering from degenerative conditions such osteoarthritis.

Physiotherapy is non invasive and its benefits include increased speed of recovery times, improvements in quality of life, treatment that uses a range of modalities that are clinically reasoned and low risk and competitively priced (often covered by pet insurance policies).

It also offers psychological benefits for animals and their human companions and Ceri is also a qualified psychologist and recognises the importance of taking a holistic approach to animal health care and welfare.

Veterinary physiotherapy is most widely recognised for treating dogs and horses but any species of animal may benefit and Ceri has a specialism with feline patients.

Physiotherapy requires referral from a vet.

For more information please call Ceri on 07970965079.
