BBC Radio Stoke is pleased to announce that Pete Morgan is returning to the weekday Breakfast show in the New Year

He'll be bringing with him his bright and breezy approach to life across Staffordshire and Cheshire.

Pete is an award winning presenter and the new show will be setting up listeners for their day ahead. Starting in January (Monday 11th), the show will be a personality based, must listen mix of local news, information and chat- with a mission to brighten up each weekday morning with a smile.

Pete says: "This patch holds such special memories for me and, when I left, I always felt that my time with the people of Staffordshire and South Cheshire wasn't quite finished. I decided that it was right to stop resisting the pull, and come back to BBC Radio Stoke"

BBC Radio Stoke Managing Editor, Gary Andrews, says: 'I am really excited that Pete has agreed to return. When I arrived, he had already agreed to move elsewhere and I was disappointed not to get chance to work with him for any length of time. That was nearly four years ago and I'm looking forward to hearing Pete re-establish the great relationship he had with our listeners. He has a great sense of humour and warmth. Alongside that he has the same interests as our listeners, but also the ability to challenge those in power.

Stuart George and Charlotte Foster will move later in the day (4-6pm), to bring a combination of personality and fun, along with a look at the day's news and events.

The new weekday line up will be:
5-7 Den Siegertsz.
7-10 Pete Morgan.
10-1 Perry Spiller.
1-4 James Watt.
4-6 Stuart George and Charlotte Foster.
6-7 Sport at Six (Matt Sandoz/ Lee Blakeman).
7-10 Mark Forrest.
10-1 Graham Torrington.
