Audlem Canal Book Shop, based at Audlem Mill, has published its fourth book this year – and it's about local canals.
covers the canals that lead from Hurleston and Barbridge, near Nantwich, into Wales, and to Middlewich. These include the Llangollen Canal, and the Montgomery Canal that leads off to Welshpool and Newtown, as well as the Middlewich Arm of the Shropshire Union Canal from Barbridge.
The book contains a large number of fascinating past and present photos of these canals, plus notes on the history of the canals by canal historian Ray Shill. "Borders Canals" is on sale now at Audlem Mill.
