We expected to hear about the Neighbourhood Plan before Christmas but thus far nothing has been heard. It seems that the Independent Examiner's report has to be checked – by whom and for what is not entirely clear – and so with the Christmas holiday upon us it seems unlikely that anything will happen until the New Year. We understand that once the check has been undertaken we will get a copy of the report directly from the Examiner.

It's disappointing to have to wait so long, but we shall just have to be patient. Hopefully it will be a positive report and we can move on to a referendum in March or April of next year. Cheshire East say they will try to carry out several referenda simultaneously, so we hope that ours will happen at the same time as Brereton and Bunbury.

Gladman has once again caused problems as we submitted before Bunbury but Liz Beth's view that we needed more legal input has put everything back by several weeks.
