Audlem is hosting the LVRC Road Race Championships, C & D Categories, this morning so expect the village to be very busy.

Today, Sunday 21st June, sees Race 1: Cat C, with a start at 10.00am over a 96km course. Then at 10.05, it's Race 2: Cat D also over 96km.

The Event Organiser is Mike Wilson of Adderley and the Event Headquarters are the Public Hall, Audlem, Cheshire. The postcode is CW3 0AH for those finding their way here with SatNav or for those using maps: OS Ref- SJ 65948 43713.

For competitors, signing on closes 30 minutes prior to the start of the race. Refreshments will be available at the Event HQ.

The rules say "No Licence – No Helmet – No Excuses – No Ride"

The organisers say: "Many thanks to Cheshire Police Force, Cheshire East Council, Members and friends of the Audlem CC."

Looking through the competitors lists, cyclists are coming to Audlem from all over the country so it's a real honour for the village to be playing host to such a major national sporting event.

Should be an opportunity for some great photos.
