It's July and we have some exciting news for you!

We are beginning a phased re-opening of our libraries from Monday 6 July. There will be restricted opening hours and limited services available. Covid-19 secure measures will be in place to make each of our libraries as safe as possible when they re-open.

You will be able to return, renew, browse and borrow books, audio books and DVDs. Our friendly staff will be here to help you. Our public computers and Council Customer Service enquiries services will be available, but must be booked in advance. Some services will be unavailable to begin with including reservations, local studies materials, library events and meeting room bookings.

Silly Squad -- the children's summer reading challenge 2020

The all-new digital Summer Reading Challenge is now underway. The theme is 'Silly Squad https://readingagency.org.uk/news/media/the-summer-reading-challenge-is-asking-the-nation-to-join-the-silly-squad.html' so families can have fun and encourage children to read anything that makes them happy.

Children can still sign up http://www.sillysquad.org.uk and take part in the Silly Squad Summer Reading Challenge throughout the summer until September. There will be an online programme of Let's Get Silly fun activities on the Reading Agency's Facebook https://www.facebook.com/SummerReadingChallengeUK/, and we will be delivering the challenge through our online services, including Silly Squad activities on your library's Facebook at 2.30pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
