Hello people of Audlem and Merry Christmas to you all.
As some of you may already know, plans for a larger Music and Arts festival to return to the heart of our village have been in motion for some time; as well as music in all the pubs and Methodist church we are bringing back the arts with crafts!
We have some announcements in this article and our socials; please remember to follow for up-to-date news:
Facebook on https://www.facebook.com/audlemfestival
Instagram on https://www.instagram.com/audlemfestival/.
Firstly, we need to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already donated to our Spacehive fundraiser page, here. Please donate if you can and this is very much appreciated as it all goes to securing the future and longevity of the festival.
We also want to give special thanks to Cheshire East Council who have pledged £5,644.80 based on the campaign getting off to a great start thanks to everyone who donated. However, there are conditions to their pledge, and we must reach our fundraising target of £18,652 for them to commit. As per previous years we are also hoping on the generosity of local businesses and other fundraising to reach this target as follows.
We can confirm that following an 8-year hiatus the legendary 'Chilli Night' will be returning on Friday 3rd March 2023 at the Public Hall as a further fundraiser towards our project goal. There will be a bar, including cocktails, a raffle and of course the all-important complimentary bowl of chilli. Music will be provided by Hipster and The Amber Lamps. Announcements will be made soon regarding tickets so please stay tuned to Audlem Online and our socials, as above.
Returning to the arts side of the May festival; if you are or know someone who would be interested in exhibiting their work or having a craft stall please get in touch with us at info@audlemfestival.live or message us on Facebook.
That's all from us for now, all of us at the Audlem Music and Arts Festival Planning Team wish you wonderful Christmas and a Happy new year. We look forward to seeing you all in 2023!
