Shaughna Warburton writes: "This photo was taken from the back garden of Hollybank Cottage and clearly shows that the entire field is under water from the bank that runs up to our garden, to Salford, which is to the top right of this image.
"All the images so far have shown the Salford end, but the entire low-lying pasture land, from the field which is in front of us, again a proposed development site, to Salford was under water.
Please note that this picture was taken in the afternoon as the water began to retreat a little. I regret not taking one in the morning as we were surrounded by a lake!"
Roy Plume adds: "It's a little known fact is that the properties below the Woore road bridge have had to be fitted with anti-flood flaps on their main sewer discharge pipes (by the council).
"Before these were fitted, a few years again now, in times of heavy rain or heavy use, the shower trays and low lying appliances were in danger of fouling by back flowing waste from the main sewer.
"Any increase in the flow to that main sewer cannot improve the situation and indeed will increase the occasions on which our own waste will not be able to enter the main sewer. This must be considered a health hazard.
"We seem to be in danger of flooding either way, internally by the sewer or externally by the
brook. You can see how strongly we feel that this proposal should not go ahead."
