I just wanted to let people know, that originally a few weeks ago I thanked everyone on AOL, who had donated funds to the mask sales, which raised £168 for the NHS together charity, supporting covid patients and families, thinking that is where it would stop!!!!!
However I didn't take into consideration, that Mr Johnson was subsequently a few days later going to announce that masks must be worn in all shops and where ever possible besides. Hence the new and definitely final figure I have donated, is a grand total of £306.
The remainder, I have decided to donate to Leighton Hospital, one of the beneficiaries is the Lost Little Ones Appeal. By supporting this appeal, it will help to provide the funds to create a dedicated suite and attached outside space on the labour ward, for bereaved parents.
Would everyone that kindly donated, accepted my heart felt thanks and appreciation.
So for now the sewing machine is being returned to its rightful owner, a little worse for wear I hasten to add, but nothing a little TLC wont put right!!
Ps I do still have a few masks left if anyone needs any, further donations will be placed in a local charity box.
Please call at 11 Tollgate Drive where a selection will be outside, or you can e-mail me at ruscoeicke@aol.com
Many thanks
