Model Railways at the Festival of Transport

Audlem

Following their successful Open Doors event early this month the Wrenbury & District Model Railway Club members are looking forward to taking their layouts 'on tour'.

The first event they are attending is the Audlem Festival of Transport(see here ) on Sunday the 31st of July.

Once again the club will run a couple of their smaller layouts in a marquee outside the Audlem Public Hall. Their members are always willing to give advice about all aspects of the hobby across all gauges.

Betley

The second event will be the Betley Show (see here ) on Saturday the 6th of August.

This is a new venue for the club who will be taking their 0 Gauge layout 'Wrenmere' which was well received on its first ever outing to Sainsbury's in Whitchurch back in May. Two other layouts will be running in the marquee where they will also have railway related items for sale.

The event at Sainsbury's was recorded by one of their visitors and posted on YouTube (see here ). This video gives you a taste of the quality of layouts the members have created.

The club meets every Wednesday evening 7 'til 10 in the village hall Wrenbury(CW5 8HN) and visitors are always welcome.
