CHESHIRE EAST BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

S14 (2) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers issues this notice temporarily to prohibit traffic in the following length of road:-

Middlewich Road, Nantwich North and West Ward, Nantwich, CW5 6PF from the junction of Reaseheath Roundabout to the junction of Sainsburys Roundabout

The alternative route will be via the following streets: – Millstone Lane Roundabout, Main Road, Millstone Lane, Chester Road, Nantwich Road, Station Road, Tarporley By-pass, A49/A51 Roundabout, Tarporley Road, Luddington Hill, Chester Lane, Chester Lane Roundabout, Oakmere Road, Oakmere Road Roundabout, Over Square, High Street,Wharton Road Roundabout, Winsford-bypass, Station Road Roundabout, Middlewich Road, Newton Bank, Coppenhall Lane Roundabout

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times. Cyclists will be required to dismount in order for access to be maintained. Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.

The closure is necessary for Cheshire East Highways to carry out Tree Felling

It is anticipated that the works will take place on the following date(s): Sunday 1st December 2024

This notice will become operative on Sunday 1st December 2024 for a period of 5 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed.
