Managing the Buy/Sell page

As Christmas approaches, it is perhaps not surprising that our buy/sell page is chock-full of items which might be the ideal answer to that elusive present for somebody.

Recent items advertised, apart from the usual pieces of furniture, clothes, bikes etc, include

• Artists Brushes
• An Aluminium ladder
• A large caterpillar
• and
• A hand-made wooden frog

However the very success of the buy/sell page gives us a problem of dealing with items which we deem unsuitable for the buy/sell page. We simply do not have time to respond to the potential advertiser explaining why his/her advert will not appear.

These items include

• Live animals
• Single high-priced items (especially cars)
• Items which seem to be branded new items that are being sold off as a business,

and, of course we require the advertiser to provide his/her name (forename and surname).

So apologies if you have submitted an item which has not been published and we haven't responded to you personally.
