Low Flying Plane – Latest Update

Yet another exciting walk this morning! At about 8.30 I was approaching bridge 77 along the towpath and an extremely large military aircraft flew overhead about 100ft up.

It was painted dark grey, with no markings and looked like a bomber or transport plane ( I have no great knowledge of aircraft) Did anybody else see it?

Have you any idea what it was? It looked as if it was headed for Shawbury. Please note I had someone else walking with me so at least I had a witness.

Ed:We have had an update from Debra Holland as follows:

" For the lady who saw the military aircraft yesterday morning -- it was actually a Hercules C-130J ( transport aircraft) and heading out over Snowdonia. It was flying at 540 feet as it went over Audlem. Hope this helps. "
