Some of you may have noticed that the beds at the LC have been planted up differently to the main village planting of tubs and troughs. This wasn't down to a miscalculation of plant-buying by our Leader -- he is very well practised in that field.
These two beds are a result of one of our volunteers suggesting a Sensory bed to be put somewhere in the village. The prospect of planting up the nemesis* bed with permanent planting was too good an opportunity to be missed by me and my watering/planting partner, Anne Beale.
During our stint on Tuesday a couple visiting the village stopped to chat to us, one said how much she loved our beds, we explained the reasoning of how they came about. She then said 'I'm a Cumbria in Bloom judge, I can tell you they are beautiful.' That was a big fat high-five from Anne and myself while she continued to chat to our Leader.
*you know the one if you've ever seen me trying to get out of it!
Many thanks
