Two long-service awards were made at Monday's meeting of Audlem Parish Council.

Bill Consterdine served as a councillor for over 32 years, a period which included spells as chairman and vice chairman. He retired from the council last year and was most recently heavily involved in the successful refurbishment of Audlem's public toilets.

He was presented with a painting featuring his own sports car in Audlem village centre by chair of the council, Kate Down.

Jean White, who also retired last year, was Clerk to Audlem Parish Council for over 10-years and provided advice and guidance as well as managing the council's minutes, agendas and correspondence. She too received a painting of Audlem from Kate Down.
