The next long ARS walk at Wildboarclough will be led by Jan Campbell on Saturday 11th April departing Audlem Car park at 8.30 am.
This walk is approximately 7.25 miles / 11.75 k with 450m of ascent.Audlem to Clough House Car park SK11 0BD is approximately 1.25 hours from Audlem.We start at the car park and walk up the valley, taking a track up to a road. There is a flight of steel steps from the road into the field. From here we go to the river to The Shires Head.From there we take the route to Gradbach Mill then up the hill crossing a footbridge through a small wooded ravine and back along the road to the car park.There are 2 significant ascents on the first part of the walk and from Gradbach Mill.On the first part of the walk there is a notice which says dogs are not allowed on restricted access land. However, it is dated September 2019 to September2024. (correct as of January 2026).The steel ladder stile from the road is tricky to navigate.

Leave Audlem car park at 8.30 and aim to start the walk 9.45/10.00Clough House car park is 6.60 and takes cash, or Ring Go app is available.

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
