The December long ARS walk includes the summits of Shutlingsloe (at 506m, Cheshire's 2nd highest top) and Shining Tor (at 559m, Cheshire's highest top).

Anton Woolford is leading this walk, a nine/ten mile, 1800ft/2100ft 3/4 Booter.

We meet in the main Audlem car park for an 8am start so as to get back in time for some seasonal refreshment!

Drive to Clough House CP in Wildboarclough – SJ987698 – nearest Post Code SK11 0BD

The A route includes the steep climb up Shutlingsloe and a steady walk up to Shining Tor, although by contouring around Shutlingsloe and avoiding the walk up to Shinging Tor, the route is a 3 Booter at nine miles and around 1800ft ascent.

For A route ARS Members, the harder route becomes a 4 Booter at ten miles and 2100ft of climb.

We can vary the route according to the weather etc.

Remember, there are plentiful stiles and lots of mud!
