The next Long ARS will be led by Tony Crowther, who writes:-
Meet Audlem Car Park 8:30 am for about one hour's drive to the start (and finish) point, 'The Admiral Rodney' SY5 9AU
We will leave the Admiral Rodney car park and ascend through fields and wooded tracks up Pritchard's Hill to a lane.
Following the lane for approximately 1 km, we will then go up Middleton Hill and to Moely Golfa (403m).
Retracing our steps, we descend to go through the Breidden Forest and up to the top of Rodney's Pillar (365m).
Having reached this vantage point, it is all down hill back to the pub through Brimford Wood along forest tracks and fields, avoiding any road walking.
Fairly dog friendly but wet underfoot in parts.
Approximate distance is 9 miles with 800 metres ascent.
NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.
Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
