The next Long ARS walk is in Border country from Aston on Clun this coming Saturday, 13th August, starting out from Audlem car park 8.30am.
Walk leader Peter Kay's description of the walk says:-
A Border Country walk with plenty of good views starting in Aston on Clun at the village hall car park, charge 50p per person. It takes in the hamlets of Kempton, Edgton, Basford and Hopesay.
The terrain is varied – fields, woods and quiet lanes. Distance 10.5 miles. Height gain 1500ft.
Grade 3 boots
NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.
Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
