A local resident asks: "I wondered if anyone else has had a cold caller asking if they wanted to buy a watercolour of their house.

"A man called at my property this afternoon. He opened my gate, ignoring the beware of the dogs sign and walked some distance down my drive to knock on my back door.

"I wondered if it was legitimate."
