Local interest in Grand National

While millions around the world will be watching tomorrow's Aintree Grand National, Audlem racing enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that local resident John Baker's horse Major Malarkey will be competing in the National.

With four wins, three seconds and a third in its 25 starts, the Grand National will be a new experience for the 10-year old gelding although he has raced at Aintree once before in October 2008. His most recent wins were in December and November 2010.
