Audlem based David Parry Racing will be represented in the 2006 Grand National on Saturday. Haut de Gamme, trained by Ferdy Murphy, is in rude health ahead of his Grand National bid and his 12-person syndicate of owners are adamant that he will run a big race. Syndicate manager David Parry says: "We've kept him to hurdles to protect his mark this season and it looks like it has all gone to plan and he runs. He has jumped round Aintree twice with some success and he'll be a real live contender come Saturday – especially if it keeps raining! This is a fantastic thrill for the 12 partnership members. They are just ordinary people, paying ordinary money for a share in a racehorse. It's great to have the likes of JP McManus, Trevor Hemmings, Graham Wylie and company pumping money in to the sport but racing needs the small people dreaming of big days too!"

A similar 12-person syndicate run by David Parry Racing had a runner at the Cheltenham Festival last month when four-time winner Nine De Sivola ran in the Pertemps final. Both horses are owned by partnerships managed by www.davidparryracing.com (The website link that was here no longer works)
