Local residents may have noticed that patching and repairing of roads such as Cheshire Street has been taking place.
A number of people have said that the roads look a mess with so much patching, so much so that a local parish councillor has spoken to the Highways department to see what their future plans are.
We are told that the current work is to prevent further degradation of the roads in question and that it is planned to resurface, we expect by top dressing, those roads in the future.
Users of Coole Lane will be pleased to note that the road is in better shape than for a long time with extensive stretches having been top dressed recently. There is a stretch of about 250m at the very southern end from the junction with the A525 which is still below par but all-terrain vehicles are no longer a wise precaution for those driving the rest of the road up to Nantwich.
