July this year is set to be one of the liveliest yet in Audlem. As well as the Proms on the Park (see yesterday's news for ticket and programme details), next weekend sees the ADAS (Audlem District Amenities Society) Open Garden and Scarecrow weekend on 8th and 9th July. There's a wide range of gardens open to the public in and around the village. You can pick up your guide at the Public Hall and then visit the gardens you fancy. It's a really pleasant way to spend either Saturday or Sunday afternoon (the gardens are open from 1.00pm) and the purchase price of the programme raises valuable funds for ADAS.

The weekend of 21st to 23rd sees Fun-ky weekend with a full programme of entertainment for children of all ages.

The month goes out with a bang with the Audlem Transport Festival, organised by ASET (Audlem Special Events Team, who are also organising Proms on the Park), on Sunday 30th July. This is always a very popular event for participants and spectators alike. Last year there were 250 vehicles involved.

It promises to be quite a month for Cheshire's Village of the Year.
