Numerous comments have reached Audlem Online about the success of Saturday's 'Jabathon' when almost 500 residents had their flu jabs at the Medical Centre. Despite the numbers, everything seemed to go very smoothly with a team of medical staff treating a patient each every two minutes.

Afterwards, the vast majority crossed the car park to the Public Hall where Geoff and Olive Stretch provided tea, coffee and a welcome sit down. It was also an opportunity for people to mix and chat and, it seems everyone had a wonderful time.

Geoff commented: "We thought we could inject something extra in to the day with refreshments. It was very busy but we just got stuck in. The time just flu by!" (That's enough of those – Ed)

Geoff and Olive have received thank you's for the hospitality. In all, it seems a perfectly run day by the Surgery and Public Hall.
