Following swiftly on from the rejection of the developer's appeal against the decision not to allow the Bird's Nest development, the Parish Council will be discussing the Ivy Cottage application (17/1655N) at the Parish Council meeting on Monday, June 5th.

This application is to develop agricultural land within the conservation area along Woore Road. Outline planning is sought for five large houses and to develop an existing cottage and a separate barn into a dwelling which includes demolishing part of that barn.

The Cheshire East reference is 17/1655N and the details can be seen here..

"This would destroy the character of the area and make a total mockery of any Neighbourhood or regional plan. The same applies for any work on trees or hedges. There are also the issues of infill, traffic and road safety, pedestrian safety and wildlife."

"Do we need more houses! How long before Audlem looses its village status and becomes a town? When will houses be built on the playing fields? I would urge all to object to the planning application to build five houses partly on conservation land."
