Information about Thomas Gardner

I am trying to locate the grave of Thomas Gardner, husband of Annie Gardner who died in Audlem aged 101 in 1950, and who died in Audlem on 3rd May 1925, aged 80 years.

I have been in contact with Ralph Warburton and the Cemetery of Crewe and Nantwich but no joy. 

I was wondering if there were any records of a local Newspaper from 1925 where I could look for clues. 

Annie Gardner went on to live to be a 101 in Audlem, before being taken to Birkenhead for a short period before she died in 1950.
