Following on from a very productive meeting with Audlem's Social Inclusion Group (part of the Parish Plan) we are pleased to announce that Williams' Newsagents has now adapted the shop front doorway to allow wheelchair, mobility scooter, and pushchair access.

A pavement-to-step ramp has been installed, and the main door has been opened up to its full extent.

The firm we used for manufacturing and supplying the special non-slip steel ramp was a local engineering firm, Minshall Fabrication from Market Drayton.

The first 'guinea pig' across the threshold was George Hunt on his motorised scooter, who declared it a success! (Thank you George for your approval!).

We look forward to many more visits by customers on wheels – although we must point out that, for safety reasons, cars, bicycles and skateboards must be left outside the shop!
