If you're feeling glum today, this could be the reason

According to a psychologist, today is 'Blue Monday', the most depressing day of the year. A combination of bad weather, Christmas debts and broken New Year resolutions all combine to make this the worst week of the year for many. And Monday, so says another psychologist, has to be the worst day of the week – hence Monday, 22nd January getting the 'Blue Monday' title in 2007.

At least one part of the above depressive trilogy isn't at work in Audlem this morning. It may be cold but the sun is shining brightly – although the general forecast is for the worst weather of the winter to hit us any time. At least the unseasonable temperatures of late have seen numerous daffodils already in flower in the area.
