Well a week has passed since Lifejam 2014 and we have had time to recover from what I would say was an incredible success.

For those that don't know me, I left Audlem in 2012 having being born and bred in this wonderful village. I left for pastures new to live near the sea and moved to St Davids in Pembrokeshire, where early in 2014 I became a member of the St David's Lifeboat crew.

As a crew we were set a task of raising £150,000 towards a new boathouse. And this is where the Lifejam idea came from and I am very proud and grateful to have asked Audlem for help and boy did you.

I am very pleased to tell you that we raised £2,142.00 for the RNLI.

And now a very long list of Thank You's:

When I had the idea the first person I contacted was Ralph Warburton who accepted the challenge immediately putting me in contact with Rodney Cottrell from Audlem Lass and his links to the RNLI, plus his team. These two absolute gents worked so very hard towards the event and without them it wouldn't have happened.

Then onto Hollow Floor Studios and Pete Marshall for once again providing sound. Allan and Jo Brown and all at the Lord Combermere for the venue, Ian Haughey, Alisdair Grant Mckenzie, John Gunstone, Phil Leake, Ian Hallett and Callum Palin, for sound, video and general hard work.

Olive and Geoff Stretch for a full day of selling raffle tickets, in the end selling well in access of £400 worth. Then, ladies and gents. the wonderful artists... the Duffey Boys, The Folkwits, Heidi Browne, Roydan Styles, Darren Poyzer, Kevin Farrell and Fluff, Crystal Ships, Jack Marshall, Mike Chant and lastly Mark Stevens all who gave their time for Free.

Mike Chant is a colleague of mine on the Lifeboat and travelled over to Audlem to play, Mike was amazed at how vibrant a community Audlem is and how talented all the artists were. If you have a programme then please look at the sponsors of the event far to many to mention, but wonderful folk.

Finally to the wonderful people of Audlem, you are fantastic people who live in a fantastic village and one I miss greatly, I thank you with all my heart for the support over the weekend. I really hope I haven't missed anybody out and if I have I am sorry.

So to the future, in June / July 2015 we plan an away fixture for Lifejam where all the artists will be invited to St Davids to play at Lifejam St Davids 2015. Mike and I have been looking at locations to put the festival on in St Davids where we will be able to provide free camping and a similar format music event, we are looking to introduce more Welsh artists and provide all of this with free entry and donations to the RNLI.

And you are all invited. Further info will follow in the new year and we both hope loads of you can make it. In the meantime Thank You all, and we look forward to seeing you in Pembrokeshire in 2015.
