The British Hen Welfare Trust (BHWT) re-homes over 60,000 ex-commercial hens every year and has a re-homing in Nantwich on Sunday 24th February.

The majority of these 60,000+ hens have spent their lives in cages, laying eggs day in day out to be sold in supermarkets or put into processed foods. At 18 months old their egg laying begins to slow down so they are sent to slaughter.

That is, unless the BHWT steps in and saves them from their fate. Instead, we take them to one of 40 pop up re-homing points around the UK where people will come to re-home them.

We are holding a re-homing in Nantwich on Sunday 24th February, and there are still hens without homes to go to. If you have space in your coop and would like to give a few hens a retirement filled with fresh air, green grass and sunshine, please ensure you're registered with the BHWT via our website here and give Hen Central a call on 01884 860084
