Since development started at the Heathfield Road site, Audlem Parish Council has received calls from a number of residents to complain about several issues. These include the height of the properties, contractor parking, lorries blocking the roads and the amount of mud and debris left on roads and pavements at the end of each day. Complaints have also been received about the way the green space at the end of Hillary Drive is being churned up by heavy vehicles.
All of these complaints have been passed on to the Planning Enforcement Team at Cheshire East Council with an urgent request for them to send someone out to look into these issues.
Following checks, they determined that the heights of the new properties were correct. The Planning Enforcement Team has responded with a very unsatisfactory response, informing Councillors that this is a Highways and/or Police issue. The Parish Council is contacting both to try to get some resolution to this matter as swiftly as possible.
