Hands off our first responders!

On 4th July we published a story headed "Ambulance protest march next week". The story outlined the issues about poor ambulance response times and the threat to downgrade the First Responder Service in this area. This is especially relevant to Audlem at this time as the first group of Audlem first responders is currently undergoing training.

We have now been contacted by the chair of Audlem Parish Council and other Parish Councillors (notably Mike Hill, who is leading on this issue) to urge residents to attend next week's march in Nantwich. The protest march (complete with banners) will take place on Friday 11th July, through Nantwich starting at the Barony Fields, near the skateboard park at 12 noon. Many organisations will be represented, the local MP will be present, and anyone who is concerned about the NWAS proposed changes to the First Responder Service is welcome.
