The Green Deal

The February meeting of environmental group ADAPT , (Audlem and District Acting Positively for Transition), took place last week.

Members made plans for future activities and took part in a discussion based on a short presentation on the Green Deal initiative to tackle energy efficiency in housing. Plans for Spring and Summer include:

• A Garden Paraphernalia Day on Saturday 2nd April to encourage everyone to grow their own veggies.
• ADAPT will be taking part in the Village Meeting , the Gala at Highfields in May and the Environment Exhibition during Spring Bank Holiday week.
• ADAPTability2 at the end of August to include a revived Produce Show which was such a feature of village life in the past. (We'd love to hear from anyone who was involved in the show.)

ADAPT monthly meetings with speakers are held on the first Wednesday of the month at the Baptist Church in Audlem at 7.30pm.
