There was a large crowd of residents and visitors in Audlem on Sunday to enjoy the Transport Festival in brilliant weather. Even though it clashed with a Transport event at Trentham, over 250 vintage cars, lorries and buses paraded from Hankelow and through the village to the playing field.

The parade included a penny-farthing bicycle, a Thomas the Tank Engine truck and the usual array of beautifully presented cars.

Children were entertained by a blow-up helter-skelter and a mini-quad-bike track on the playing field and there was also a hog-roast and several stalls representing local charitable organisations.

All in all another great success for ASET, who intend to stage the event on the usual date (last Sunday in July) next year.
