If you fancy somewhere to entertain the children this weekend, the Dorothy Clive Garden, near Woore, is hosting 'A Mad Hatter's Tea Party' on Sunday 4th August.

This is a special fundraising event, from noon to 5pm and all children are admitted free while adults wearing a hat and with a child in tow get in at half price for £3.50.

The Alice in Wonderland themed afternoon includes face painting, storytelling, a lucky dip, pin the tail on the Cheshire cat, colouring-in and a raffle with children's prizes.

There will also be giant garden games such as lawn croquet with inflatable flamingos and cricket. Children can also enjoy a bouncy castle, a Mad Hatter's Trail around the garden – with prizes to be won – and a Mad Hatter's Picnic with Queen of Heart jam tarts.

There will be a 'Best Hat' competition with prizes for adults and children and visitors can also enjoy informal gardens at the event which is sponsored by the Snugbury's ice-cream and Absolutely Fabulous Hat Studio.

If you would like further information, please contact info@dorothyclivegarden.co.uk, visit www.dorothyclivegarden.co.uk or call 01630 647237. The Dorothy Clive Garden is on the A51, two miles from Woore mid-way between Nantwich and Stone.
