Attached is a photo of Richard Furber, with his sons David, Jon and Stuart.

David as you know ran a Virtual (London) Marathon on 4th October and was supported by his family and many friends.

Brother Jon accompanied him for the first 10 miles.

Brother Stuart ran with him for the last 15 miles.

Father Richard provided the whiskey (early quality assurance tasting essential!).

David's son Matthew and nephew James provided back up support on their cycles for the full marathon, and Richard provided the support car. David's wife Lorna ran the last couple of miles or so with him, his younger nephews and nieces joined in a lap of Crewe Park and a number of friends and supporters joined the race completing around 10 miles each. It was lovely to see them all joining in for the last lap in Audlem to the village centre and for so many to be standing in the streets to cheer him along that last section.

David is delighted and very grateful for so much financial support raising a little over £7,000 for Parkinsons UK. His father in law, who has suffered from Parkinsons for many years is also delighted that this substantial sum will go towards research in developing life-changing treatments.

Duty John Editor's Note:- Great family story. I am sure it will assist Bob Bennions recovery from a recent knee op.
