Our new Green Team officially began their duties in school today by hosting a visit from the Eco team from Gorse Hill Primary School.

Amber class have been busy this week sharing Guided Reading sessions with parents and carers and delivering presentations about their Dragon's Den topic to local 'Dragon's'.
Each of the five Dragons Den groups presented and the 'Dragons' were very impressed with them all and gave positive feedback to each group. The winning team were the Bookworm Company and they will go on to represent school in the final at Brine Leas on 27th March.
All of the children have worked exceptionally hard on this project and they should all feel very proud of their achievements.
Pearl and Sapphire classes were being 'Tudor History Detectives' on a tour of Nantwich yesterday as part of their 'Fire' topic. They will follow the course of the Fire of Nantwich and look at why the fire broke out.
They will also visit the Museum where they will have the opportunity to handle and investigate a selection of replica Tudor artefacts, try on costumes and take part in a role-play.
Sapphire class had their first Forest Schools session yesterday and, as with previous classes who have enjoyed this outdoor learning experience, they had a great time and are now looking forward to their next session!
The children in Amethyst class have thoroughly enjoyed preparing their 'garden area' for planting and organising their 'Bug Hotel' for tiny 'visitors' this week.
Staff and children would like to say a huge thanks to the parents who have given so much time to help develop this outdoor learning zone.
The four wonderful new planters, provided by our talented helpers, will enable the children to plant a variety of fruit and vegetables over the coming months and they are also planning to attract lots of wildlife to the area too.
All children in our school are eligible to take part in a special inter-schools Sumdog contest between Cheshire East schools. The competition begins today and ends at 8pm on Thursday 19th March. Any child who answers 100 questions in the contest will receive a Myths and Legends outfit for their Avatar! Good luck!
