Great news for Audlem! The Parish Council applied for a grant from Locality, which is a Government body set up to support communities in delivering Neighbourhood Plans, and received confirmation that the application has been successful.
We applied for an interim grant of £3,617 and received the full amount. The funds, which have to be spent before the end of December 2014, will be spent on items such as the production of newsletters and flyers; printing questionnaires; hire of rooms and training.
This money, while it is very welcome, will not cover the full cost of producing the Residents First Neighbourhood Plan but it will help. The maximum grant available is £7000 and we should be able to apply again in the new year.
