Footpath Volunteers needed

Cheshire East seeks Footpath Volunteers

I was discussing the maintenance of the public footpath in Turnpike Field yesterday with an extremely helpful officer working for CE's Public Rights of Way. She also told me about their need for additional volunteers to assist the Council in keeping footpaths open and safe for everyone to use and enjoy. There are a number of invaluable roles that volunteers can get involved in, including inspecting paths, waymarking paths, and clearing encroaching vegetation from paths, stiles and signs.

If anyone is interested, in the first instance they should email prow@cheshireeast.gov.uk. They will then be sent further information about the roles, as well as how to register as a Cheshire East Footpath Volunteer.
