First in the Annexe

Audlem Youth Club

The Youth Club volunteers had spent all weekend and then some putting together the various bits of Youth Club paraphernalia ready to have the first Youth Club session in the new Annexe yesterday (Wednesday).

But the official opening of the Annexe is not until Saturday – well, the original Hall was being used soon after it was built in 1904, but the official opening ceremony was not until 1908!

The photos show the Pool table kindly donated to the Youth Club, and the café corner with subdued lighting and ambience – the Youth Club looks forward to getting used to the new space and facilities.

The Youth Club would like to open a second evening each week, perhaps for a slightly older age group, but for this they need more volunteers – if you have any interest in being part of this new vibrant corner of the Audlem scene, please contact Kate Parkes on coalyardkate@yahoo.co.uk.
