We do sometimes get told off in ChatBox for boasting about the activities and events we have in the village. However, this weekend in the Scout Hall yet again members of the Webteam were blown away by the breadth of talent and creativity which seems to be so prevalent in Audlem.

Members of the Webteam attended the first ever FatPigeonLive session which was recorded on Saturday evening and then broadcast using YouTube on Sunday evening. Local presenters Ian Haughey and Pete Marshall effortlessly introduced guests and features with a live studio audience who lapped it up... along with considerable quantities of wine.

First up, singer/songwriter Maddy Storm wowed the audience with her atmospheric lyrics and haunting vocals. Then it was the turn of Audlem local Mike Waldron who was interviewed about his forthcoming album 'Music for the Drunks in the Apricot House'. This was recorded whilst Mike was sheltering in Finland following the eruption of an Icelandic volcano. All splendid stuff.

The night was rounded off by the unveiling of never before broadcast footage of The Reads filmed at the previous FatPigeonLive gig in March this year. Talking of gigs, it is worth reminding those who are interested that the next filmed gig will take place on the 10th of October and will feature BBC 2's Mark Radcliffe along with his band of pirates... sounds interesting. See FatPigeonLive for more information.

If you haven't yet watched the video, we do recommend having a look. It's amazing to think that such a professional looking studio can be created in our local Scout Hall! (click the photo to view the video).
