Celia Bloor secretary of Audlem District History Society is on the final

stage of a 'certificate in local history' course at Keele University. She writes to say:

"I need to have a chat with someone who started work in the agricultural field

around 1950 (late forties, early fifties). If they left school at 14/15

they would be around 70 years of age.

George Hardy has kindly given me the recollections of a farmer so I am

looking for a farmworker or someone in the dairy business or a contractor

etc. All the people I spoke to about wartime experiences are too old!"

"It has to be done before May 3rd so is getting urgent – if there is anyone out

there who would like to help please phone 811260. Thanks"
