Wednesday 2nd October

The pressure is building and there are only a few more days left to take part (or take part again) in ADCA's "Spot the Cowpat" competition that has run throughout the summer. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 2nd October, but there is still time for someone to place a cross on the form that could win them the £1,000 first prize, or one of the three other cash prizes for the runners-up.*

Entry forms are still available at the local retailers listed below and ADCA would like thank them all for their help, as well as all the local people and visitors to our village who have entered the competition to help support the work that ADCA does for vulnerable and socially isolated adults and those with responsibilities as carers in our area.

On Saturday 5th October, ADCA's fearless panel of judges will be at the field at Foxes Bank Farm in Hunsterson to observe and record the co-ordinates of the centre of the first cowpat to be dropped by "Daisy". The lucky winners will be contacted during the following week to arrange for them to receive their prize and congratulatory pat on the head...and one of them could still be you!

Booby prize

*We realise that we have so far been very remiss in not publishing details of the booby prize. The person whose cross is furthest away from the target cowpat will win the actual cowpat (and any others that Daisy may produce in the general excitement) and will be expected to remove them so that the field can be returned to its original pristine condition.
