Cuckoo heard

Dylan Jones reports that last week he was working at Swanbach and heard a cuckoo, the first report this year from the Audlem area.

A group of local walkers on the Short-ARS expedition to the relatively nearby Hanchurch Hills two weeks ago not only heard a cuckoo but also enjoyed an excellent view of one of the increasingly elusive summer visitors. It was perched on top of a nearby tree and seen clearly through binoculars.
