A reminder that as a follow up to the Canal & River Trust (CRT) workshop on 22nd February, we are hosting a second meeting this afternoon to discuss all the ideas generated so far in more detail and to discuss what the priorities should be.

This is at 2.00 – 4.00pm today, 14th March, at the Methodist Church Hall again. If you came on the 22nd you should already have this date in your diary. Anyone who couldn't make the first session would be welcome to come along as well.

So far the most mentioned suggestions are:

  • Towpath improvements and maintenance along priority sections
  • Volunteering/adoption scheme and involving young people in volunteering
  • Wildlife and conservation along the canalised
  • Walking, health and wellbeing projects
  • Signage, parking, cycling and access improvements
  • Improving moorings and the service block for visitors
  • Marketing and ways of boosting visitors for local businesses
  • Promoting the heritage of the canal.

We look forward to seeing you there!
Perhaps if you did not attend the first session you could RSVP to this message so we know to expect you: alison.caffyn@gmail.com
