A525 Credit where credit's due

Many readers, not to mention the editorial panel of AudlemOnline, have spent much quill-time over the last few years commenting and complaining about the state of roads in the neighbourhood.

So it is pleasant to report that your current editor sped from Audlem to Woore yesterday on the much-maligned A525, carried on a boulevard of smooth Tarmac, well marked with white lines and cats-eyes. Not a vibration from pothole or draincover, just the muted swish of tyres on well-laid asphalt.

So well done, Cheshire East – now for the rest of the roads round the village!
