Quality care specialist, Morris Care invited all to an evening of celebration ahead of this year's bonfire night which took place on Saturday 1st November, where a colourful fireworks display set the evening off with a bang.

Residents of Corbrook Park, just outside Audlem, their families and friends, as well as members from the local community came together in the care home's spacious grounds to watch the fireworks and enjoy the evening's offerings.

Adding to the excitement, a 'Guy Fawkes' created by the home's carers and residents was built in the run up to the event and thrown onto the bonfire in traditional style.

Everyone wrapped up and enjoyed the evening with a winter buffet, including hot soups and jacket potatoes, as well as a selection of hot drinks and themed treats prepared by Morris Care's Executive Chef.

Home Manager, Carolyn Farmer, said: "Events like these are great, as residents from the care home and locals form the community come together to celebrate and enjoy a fun filled evening packed with food, laughter and entertainment.

"We love to see the residents taking part and they were so excited to see their handmade 'Guy Fawkes' take the spotlight."

With seven care homes situated in Shropshire and Cheshire, each Morris Care Home has a dedicated Social Life Coordinator who organises activities ranging from exercise classes, performers and entertainers to restaurant evenings and day trips.
