Residents in Shropshire Street and Kingbur Place have received letters from the Co-op, advising them that from the 4th to the 6th November, work will begin to install internal roller shutters at the windows and doors of our local store.

This work will take place through the night prompting concerns that noise could be an issue. The Co-operative Food has assured residents that any disruption will be kept to a minimum. A special phone number has been released for anyone who feels that the noise has become unacceptable.

This work is being carried out following several successful, and attempted robberies at the store which have prompted the Co-operative in their words "to greatly improve physical security" at the store.
