Audlem Neighbourhood Plan- Consultation Period Closing in 10 days
The Audlem Neighbourhood Plan (ANP) and associated documentation was submitted on on July 27th 2015 to Cheshire East Council for their, and subsequent independent, examination.
At 7.00pm on 21st September the period for anyone to offer any additional comment or suggestions will be ended. If anyone wishes to make comments in support (or otherwise) of the Neighbourhood Plan they should do so using the links below.
Following this, Cheshire East Council Spatial Planning will hopefully approve the plan and it then will be reviewed by an Independent Examiner. If this is successful then Cheshire East Council have to arrange for an official Referendum to be held so that Audlem residents can vote in favour of the plan.
If over 50% of those who vote agree, the Plan will be formally accepted by Cheshire East Council and it becomes a Statutory Planning Document.
The Neighbourhood Plan is particularly important to the future of the village as it sets out policies and conditions for any development. It addresses many aspects of village life and is the only statutory instrument open to us to get the views of the community taken into consideration in planning decision making.
As residents will be aware, there is yet another speculative application for development to the north of the village and it is known that other developers intend to make planning applications to try to take advantage of the lack of an accepted 5 year Housing Land Supply for Cheshire East.
